Master Data Management (MDM) Specialist - ERP Project Geneva - Hybrid
Randstad Digital Switzerland is seeking a talented Senior SAP MDM Specialist to join our team in Geneva. While this position is based in Geneva, we offer the flexibility to work from home with frequent visits to our Geneva office.
Your Role:
As a SAP MDM Specialist, you will play a crucial role in review current MDM practices and producing Business Requirement Documentation as part of a major ERP review.
Key Responsibilities:
Review current MDM processes and identify areas for improvement within the current SAP environment.
Produce BRD outlining data quality standards, data cleansing processes, and the master data lifecycle.
Review the as-is situation to design and enforce policies for data accuracy and consistency.
Work with ERP systems (preferably SAP ECC) to structure and identify master data needs and processes across different modules.
Utilize MDM tools or platforms (e.g., SAP MDG, Informatica MDM, IBM InfoSphere, Talend) for enterprise data.
Work with the business to understand their defined master data models and attributes, design hierarchies and taxonomies, and the desired next steps within their data frameworks.
Apply data integration techniques (APIs, ETL) to link MDM systems with ERP and other applications.
Implement data validation rules, conduct data quality audits, and monitor master data health.
Your Profile:
Extensive experience (8-10+ years) in Master Data Management (MDM) and data governance roles within an SAP environment.
Proven experience in large, data-intensive enterprises or regulated industries is preferred.
Experience working on global projects or in multi-national companies with complex master data (e.g., manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, or financial services) is ideal.
Deep knowledge of MDM principles and data governance frameworks.
Expertise in SAP systems (preference for SAP ECC).
Hands-on experience with MDM tools or platforms (e.g., SAP MDG, Informatica MDM, IBM InfoSphere, or Talend).
Strong data modeling and database skills.
Familiarity with data integration techniques (APIs, ETL).
Knowledge of data quality management techniques and tools.
SAP Certifications (SAP Certified Application Associate and/or SAP Master Data Governance) are a plus.
Strong interpersonal communication skills in English; other languages are an advantage.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Problem-solving and analytical mindset.
Detail-oriented with the ability to see the big picture.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under deadlines in cross-functional teams.
Strategic mindset with the ability to align MDM initiatives with business strategy.
